Just a couple of days on from the reveal of the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series, Mercedes delivers a video of their new Black Series. And the SLS Black probably gets closer to what the McLaren SLR offered than the regular SLS does, although it’s still down on the power of the SLR, and its performance to 62mph is no better and its top speed is 10mph slower. Fiats of old used to feature noisy two-cylinders with a fetish for overheating, yet the Italians are at it again, this week releasing details of their new TwinAir two-cylinder 900cc engines. Headline figures from the 83bhp twin are 23% more power than the regular 1.2 four-pot and the same as a 1.4 16v - yet with 30% less consumption.
MORE THAN half of British drivers have made a New Year’s Resolution, with many promising to drive more courteously or more economically. A survey by motoring organisation the AA found that 14% of drivers will make the effort to drive for greater economy, while 11% said they would walk more to save fuel.
